Testimonials:
"After many years of unsuccessful, traditional speech therapy, my 9 year old daughter with autism has made tremendous gains in her functional language, social skills and communication delays with Shellie Ikner. Our therapy plan has been designed specifically to meet our biggest challenges and we reap the rewards daily. She is a true Blessing to our family and has given us hope and peace for the days ahead." -G.L.
"Shellie has been instrumental in our son's speech therapy. After having been to several other therapists and seeing no progress in his speech, Shellie was the first to break his silence. Her resilience to constantly be thinking outside the box is exactly what he needed. By far one of the best SLP's in the Auburn area!" -K.M.
"Our boys look forward to speech each week with Shellie. She has helped me as a parent to instill interrupt rules and turn taking while speaking. She is so much fun and has helped us by teaching us games we play at home. We are so thankful for Shellie!" -M.T.
"We are relieved and grateful that we were referred to Shellie for our 4 year old Autistic son with his speech delay. We spent a few months with a local Early Intervention Team when he was between 2/3 years old and he made little to no progress with his speech. As soon as he turned 3, we were told there was nothing else they could do to help our son since their services only covered up to 3 years/36 months. As parents, we didn’t know where to turn. Our lives were completely changed after a single session with Shellie. Her positive, encouraging, knowledgeable and patient attitude was a perfect fit for our son. She provides us with resources to study and practice at home which helps us reinforce everything she introduces to him. Our son loves coming to visit “His Shellie” and his vocabulary has expanded tremendously since we’ve been working with her. I highly and gracefully recommend her to anyone who has a child with speech therapy needs. Before Shellie, we felt completely lost and discouraged but now, we have all confidence that our son will prevail. We love her as if she is a part of our family and we are so happy to have her in our lives." -T.D.
"There are so many good things I could say about Shellie and the work she does. Having two kids with speech apraxia is extremely frustrating. Shellie has the patience of Job and has always been encouraging to me. She keeps the HOPE alive!" -W.G.
